Booking & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
Every trip with Coastal Runners is private and custom. Tell us what you'd love to do, whether that's Boca Chita, sandbars, snorkeling, Stiltsville or the Miami skyline, and we'll plan your day around it. Each boat takes up to 6 guests.
Booking and deposit
• A $300 deposit holds your date. It's paid by card through Square when you book.
• The rest of your trip price, plus fuel, is due on the day of your trip, before we leave the dock. Fuel is charged at the current price at the marina.
• Island Camping Drop-Off & Pick-Up: $450 round trip, fuel included, paid in full at booking. No separate deposit.
• Your booking is confirmed once the deposit (or the camping payment) goes through and you get a confirmation email from hello@coastalrunners.com.
• Before booking, you must:
◦ Check a box agreeing to Coastal Runners' liability waiver. Every adult guest agrees for themselves; a parent or guardian agrees for each minor.
◦ Provide a list of all passengers' full names and ages.
Cancellations and changes
• Cancel at least 7 days before your trip for a full refund. Inside 7 days, you can reschedule for a later date or forfeit the deposit.
• To cancel or reschedule, email hello@coastalrunners.com or call/text 305-842-1119.
• Camping drop-off cancellations: Cancel at least 7 days before your drop-off for a full refund. Inside 7 days, you can reschedule or receive a refund minus $300.
• Late arrivals and no-shows: Please arrive 15 minutes early. If you're late, we'll wait as long as we can, but the trip still ends at the scheduled time. If you don't show up and we can't reach you within 30 minutes, the deposit is forfeited.
• Bookings made through other sites (GetYourGuide, Viator, FishingBooker and others) follow that site's cancellation policy.
Weather
We go out rain or shine, since a passing shower or storm can pop up any day in South Florida. If the captain cancels for unsafe weather, you can reschedule or get a full refund.
• The captain makes the final safety call, before and during the trip.
• If you'd like to cancel because of the forecast but the captain says it's safe to go, the regular 7-day rule applies.
• Camping drop-off: if weather makes it unsafe to pick you up at 7 AM, we'll come as soon as it's safe. Bring an extra day of water and food just in case.
Swimming, snorkeling and the boat ladder
• Max 275 lbs (125 kg) per person for swimming and snorkeling. Guests over the limit are still welcome aboard to cruise and relax. Just let us know when you book.
• Getting back on the boat from the water means climbing a vertical marine ladder on your own.
• When you book, you'll be asked to check this box:
☐ I understand that getting back on the boat from the water means climbing a vertical marine ladder on my own, and everyone in my group who swims or snorkels can do that. Swimming and snorkeling are at our own risk, and we'll follow the captain's safety instructions. No one in the water will weigh over 275 lbs.
Park fees
Campsite fees for the camping drop-off aren't included. They're paid directly to the park on the island through the free Recreation.gov app.
Where we depart
All trips depart from the floating dock at Loggerhead South Miami Marina, inside Black Point Park & Marina, 24775 SW 87th Ave, Homestead, FL 33032. We'll send exact meeting details when you book.
